Wartime Honey Biscuits
Makes 20/25 biscuits
Ingredients
- 2.5 oz unsalted butter/margarine
- 1 oz sugar
- 3 tablespoon honey
- 5 oz self- raising flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 small cutter
Method
- Cream your butter/margarine and sugar. Add the honey, flour, cinnamon and salt. Mix well till it all comes together.
- Place onto a lightly dusted surface with flour and roll out until ¼ inch thick, cut into rounds and place onto a baking sheet. Bake in the oven on 160c for about 10 minutes
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool for a couple of minutes then place individually place onto a cooling wire.
