Wellocks at Home was born out of the COVID-19 crisis, set up to support our local communities by delivering food to those who needed it most. In usual times, Wellocks supplies ingredients in the country’s top restaurants and pubs, but during the lockdown many were forced to close their doors whilst the country dealt with the global pandemic. We wanted to continue supporting our restaurants and local communities through the crisis, and so Wellocks at Home was born - set up as a click & collect service using our restaurant customers as hubs, helping them maintain a level of income during the pandemic as they earnt commission on every order placed.
Soon after, we responded to feedback from our customers and launched a home delivery service in April 2020. This has been hugely successful, and we now deliver to most of England, Scotland and Wales 5 days a week in our very own Wellocks vans.
As a business, we have adapted hugely since the beginning of the pandemic in March. Our number one priority when we launched Wellocks at Home was to deliver food to as many people as possible, whilst keeping our employees and customers safe. Across our 5 sites, we have taken measures to ensure our warehouse team, office staff and drivers are all as safe as possible by adhering to the government’s COVID-19 guidelines for businesses.
